American Idol 360 Results 3 24 10

24 Mar

Well America the votes are in, we are ready to find out top ten. We can now get ready to see who is going to be going on tour. The contestants came out on stage singing the 1984 Wham classic “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.” Even though I do question if it was prerecorded, wink-wink. They introduced the new Ford commercial involving plastic balls thrown into a fountain and then they all drove off leaving Andrew in the fountain.
We learn that Siobhan’s boss refused his shave until she wins and that her friends are called Siobhambbies? (Pronounced Sha-bom-bies) And then Michael “Big Mike” Lynche talks about his baby, and how excited she was when she found the dog. And the right after that Ryan asked Siobhan to stand and be the first one to receive her results. Simon told her not to rely on her scream, which she in a roundabout way said she wanted to stay in the competition and it was something that only she could do. Not surprisingly she was safe.

Lee and Casey were both asked to stand next and before Ryan let the audience know if they were safe, he had Tim and Paige stand. Lee and Casey were both safe, which was expected since Lee really showed out last night. And Casey wasn’t too bad himself, but I still say looks may be a strong factor for the reason why he will be safe for a little bit. But he then said that Paige was in the bottom three and then sent Tim right after her, making them the first two in the bottom.
The Miley Cyrus performed: “When I Look at You,” from the motion picture The Last Song.

Ryan then went to Aaron Kelly who was safe, even with his laryngitis and tonsillitis, but watch out he sounds like the new David Archuleta, which is not a bad thing, but it’s still something we’ve already heard before. Didi was next and Simon said that the song said it all, “You’re No Good” was the song she sung. (Ouch!) The Ellen wanted to see “Didi do what Didi does.” She was also safe.

Michael Lynche and Crystal Bowersox were both safe. Then came Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens. Katie was called the Dakota Fanning of American Idol by Ellen of course and Andrew was told he sucked all the soul out of the song by Simon of course. When asked how Andrew would respond if he was on the street he said: “Dang man that’s mean.” The shocker was that Andrew was safe and Katie was in the bottom three. However fear not Katie fans for she was only in the bottom for about five seconds before she was told she was safe.
Joe Jonas and Demi Lavato sung “Make a Wave.” (Though after awhile it did sound a little like a competition rather than a duet). Joe Jonas saw Tim in the audition process and put him through. When Ryan asked Joe how it was going (in reference to Tim’s progression), he leaned over and looked at the bottom three and answered “I guess not that well.”
Paige was the one that was finally told that she was going home, and was about to sing for her life when Simon let her know before she started that they were not going to use the save for her. They played her going home film and she sung as the credits started to play. She had a good voice, but song choice does play a major factor.
