Salt

Okay so I just got back from seeing the move Salt with Angelina Jolie. First off there are a few problems with the movie that somewhat outrank the action sequences. The plot, the action, and the characters are three main things that you must look at when thinking about this movie.

The plot in the movie can be summed up into one word, and that is predictable. Within the first five minutes of the movie, I had predicted the ending, which is a rarity for me. But the main plot of the movies is that Salt is a spy sent to infiltrate the American government, so by the halfway point of the movie you’re wondering if she is a spy or not.

The actual action of the movie was pretty good. There were times when you truly did wonder how was Salt going to escape from the situation, so in that aspect the action in the movie was done well. It wasn’t over the top and it did hold your interest.

The characters in the movie become a little stereotyped and overdramatic. Along with the predictable and stagnant plot, the characters in the movie fall flat. I’m not saying Jolie did a bad job, but I do believe she made the best out of a bad situation.

Overall this movie would be a 3 for me. If you are looking to see a movie with not so good plot but great action sequences try this. If not, you may want to pass on this one.
