Our Prediction from watching the Dark Shadows Trailer

Here’s the preview:

Based off the old television show, Dark Shadows the new movie staring Johnny Depp seems to live up to some of the old expectation of the show. It has its overly dramatic acting, its quirky comedy, and some of the supernatural elements that made Dark Shadows interesting to watch. Having said that, the movie has its highs and lows. It starts off fine, developing the back story for Barnabas Collins but when it jumps to the 1970s the movie slows down tremedously. Although I didn’t fall asleep Dannie Fresh did. Twice. The end of the movie is awesome, but you just know its brewing and bound to happen. The comedy in it, is lacking. Although Johnny Depp is funny as the vampire, some of his lines aren’t enough to make you laugh when nothing else is really happening in the movie. This is not one I say miss, but its not one I say break you neck to see. 2.5 stars is an accurate rating to me. If you like Johnny Depp this may make up for what the movie lacks, other than that, see it at your own risk.
